The area offer miles of hiking trails, boating and fishing. The Bigelow Mountain, Dead river and Spring Lake preserves are untouched with abundant wildlife.

At Spring Lake Vacation, we offer a top-quality vacation rental for families and individuals. Our Cabin/Home is located on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. Deep clear cold water and towering mountains surrounding us.
Hiking / Biking trails are endless on this wonderful State Preserve land.

The Cabin offers 2400 square feet of living space with four bedrooms. Washer and dryer, full kitchen Granite countertops, propane heat and Hearthstone wood heat. The Cabin has solid oak floors and beautiful white pine interior, meticulously maintained to ensure your comfort and satisfaction.

Our home includes water front with a summer dock for your boat or just sitting and relaxing to the sounds of loons.
The days and evenings on the lake are peaceful with Kayaking, and an occasional fishing boat passing by.

J.P. Morgan, Sr. owned a large estate, including the "Morgan Farm" and Spring Pond Camps, in the Dead River Plantation area near present-day Flagstaff Lake, Maine, in the early 1900s. He used the 26,000-acre property to supply his camps and as a vacation spot for employees, selling it in the 1940s before the area was flooded in 1950.

The Property: Known as the Rogers farm initially, it was purchased by J.P. Morgan, Sr.. It was located in what was then Dead River Plantation, featuring a large herd of cows and supplying local camps.
Flagstaff and Spring Lakes, located in Somerset and Franklin counties, is now known for recreation, including boating, fishing, and camping.

In September 1775, Benedict Arnold led a grueling 1,100-man expedition through the Maine wilderness towards Quebec, passing through the Dead River region near present-day Flagstaff Lake/Spring Lake. This treacherous, 2-month journey was a key Revolutionary War mission that saw hundreds of casualties due to starvation and harsh, winter conditions.
